Samantha Leigh Smith illustrates timeline detailing history of lower mainland transit.

Samantha Leigh Smith is a freelance designer and illustrator who specializes in branding, illustration, user experience and user interface design. She loves to use playful illustration, unique patterns, and custom typography to bring brands and apps to life. She graduated from the IDEA School of Design at Capilano University in 2012 and has won numerous student awards. Her clients include CBC Music.

The Buzzer's 100th Birthday

The Buzzer is Translink's small publication, available on all local buses and Skytrain stations in Metro Vancouver. To celebrate its 100th Anniversary, the editor reached out to IDEA School of Design grad Samantha Leigh Smith to illustrate a timeline detailing the history of transit in the Lower Mainland.

The Buzzer, TransLink's free onboard publication, is celebrating its 100th anniversary with a special throwback issue — including a sampling of a century's worth of transit etiquette tips that show some things never change.
