Congratulations to Laura Pummel (IDEA Grad 2019) for gaining RGD Honourable Mention for Concept Development with her branding, advertising, guerrilla installation and website design project Richter Days. Check out her project!
“To combat earthquake fatigue, this annual event embraces play-based learning through hands-on interactive experiences that entertain as well as educate. The logo is inspired by the shear stress that buildings undergo during an earthquake and its devastating aftermath. The posters feature imperfect typography and an ominous colour scheme that contributes to a sense of foreboding. Shifting tectonic plates inspired the experimental type layouts.”
