High School Educators

Do you have promising students interested in a creative career as a graphic designer, art director, illustrator, character designer, or interactive UX/UI designer? Tell them about Capilano University’s IDEA School of Design!

Who is this school for?

Capilano University’s IDEA School of Design is well suited for creative problem solvers. Our most successful students are equal parts visual artist and design thinker. They are keen to develop skills in visual communication in both traditional and digital mediums. They are observant of the world around them and strive to make the world a better place.

Student Perspectives

Students become part of a close-knit cohort as they move together through the program. The commitment required is high, which the IDEA School of Design supports with dedicated labs and equally committed instructors. This makes for a distinctly demanding – and rewarding – learning environment.

IDEA graduate Tierney Milne created one of nine murals commissioned to celebrate Capilano University's 50th anniversary.

“The Bachelor of Design primes you for work in a creative field. I found being surrounded by talented peers and instructors both inspiring and incredibly motivating. I’m so grateful for the skills, experiences, connections, and friends I’ve gained through this program.”
