Pamella Pinard and Alice Zeng win 3x3 Illustration Annual No.14 contest

Pamella Pinard and Alice Zeng win 3x3 Illustration Annual No.14 contest

Each year 3x3 Magazine, the first publication devoted entirely to the art of contemporary illustration, assembles top juries for each of its three shows: professional, student and children's books. An international panel of judges vote independently and as a result the 3x3 show is one of the most unbiased juried competitions for illustration. And they’re the only truly international competition. The 3x3 Illustration Annual No.14 is available in both print and digital editions.

IDEA School of Design students Pamella Pinard (Honorable Mentions) and Alice Zeng (Honorable Mention and Merit) both placed in the prestigious 3x3 Illustration Annual contest. The 3x3 Illustration Annual No.14 print edition ships November 2017. Congratulations to all!

Pamella writes:

"Man on the moon is a portrait of the singer songwriter Moses Sumney. I created this image for a fictional music festival that focused on artists who place a lot of importance on their lyrics. I tried to capture Sumney in a close and personal manner to express the essence of his music, specifically his song: Man on the moon. Medium: Photoshop, start to finish."
