“This project shows my obsession with collectible sports shoes. I don’t only see them as functional everyday wearable items but more as beautiful artifacts. I drew them out on a long scroll with the cloudy dark ink background which refers to the night.”
Flower Boy album cover design by Aleksandar Jones (IDEA Grad 2023) as part of his student application to IDEA School of Design
I love to design album covers, so I made an album cover for one of my favourite artist, Tyler The Creator. I created the cover in Adobe Illustrator by using a photo of clouds that I took. I then put the photo of the cover on a template to make it look cleaner.
“The purpose of your portfolio is to demonstrate your creative potential. We assess portfolios on drawing skill, design and creativity.”

“Put in what you love, not what you think people will love. Make sure to show the range of what you can do. Find someone to give you feedback! and start early!”
