Jim Rimmer Scholarship winners: Pamella Pinard & Max Littledale
Many congratulations to third year student team Pamella Pinard & Max Littledale for winning a $1,000 Jim Rimmer Scholarship! https://www.gdc.net/education/scholarships/jim-rimmer
The award was given out at the annual GDC Practivism event (http://practivism.ca/) that many IDEA students from first, second, and third year attended last Thursday night.
We’ve won at least one of the Jim Rimmer Scholarships (sometimes both!) every year since their launch in 2012. Well done Pam and Max for keeping up the tradition.
Their project focusses on the importance of protecting and reviving indigenous languages. It was part of a second year applied design class with a focus on sustainable design. The project was a collaboration with first nations students from Capilano University's Indigenous Independent Digital Filmmaking program.
The IDEA School of Design is honoured to enjoy the support of BC first nations students and faculty, on whose unceded traditional territories the university resides.
